A revolution made of wool, soap and water
Eco-fur.
The first
of its kind.
For years we searched for a real alternative to fur. Not plastic faux-fur — that is just oil with a sad coat on. Not animal — never again.
So we made our own. Hugs Amsterdam developed the first natural alternative to fur — handfelted from wool slokken with olive soap and water, using a centuries-old technique.
That is the entire recipe. No animal. No plastic. No glue. No poison. What you get is a textile that drapes like the most decadent fur, warms like a cloud, and at the end of its long life simply returns to the earth.

How it's made
Four ingredients.
Three days of hands.
- 01
Wool slokken
Raw fibers from European wool, untreated and unbleached.
- 02
Olive soap
A traditional vegetable soap that opens the scales of the wool.
- 03
Water + warmth
Hot water and the rhythm of hands lock the fibers permanently.
- 04
Days, not minutes
Each piece takes 2–4 full days of slow, patient work.
